Study Tour
As per the university curriculum, we regularly arrange the study tour compulsorily for the Final year Post Graduate Science Students. During the study tour we encourage the students to visit various National Research Institutes, reputed Pharmaceutical/Agro based/Chemical Industries and different Universities, which are related to their respective subjects. So, that the students can expose to practical experience
The IV semester M. Sc Microbiology students of 2005 - 06 batch has been visited Hyderabad, AndraPradesh for their educational tour for six days along with the faculties during February 2006. They have visited prestigious institutes and Industries like Nation Institute for Nutrition, Centre for Cell and Molecular Biology (CCMB), International crop research Institute for Semi Aerid Tropics and Immunological Limited.
The IV semester M.Sc Bio technology & Microbiology students of 2006-07 batch has been visited Goa for their educational tour for six days along with the faculties during March 2007. They have visited prestigious institute like National Institute of Oceanography and Industries like Okasa Cipla Ltd, UB Group of Companies and Waste Water Treatment Plant.
 
Rural Camp
As per the University Curriculum the II Semester MSW Students are suppose to organize 10 days rural camp under the direction of the staff member. Generally camps are held in the rural areas, relief areas (disaster) and tribal areas, to get exposure for the students to analyze the regional and rural social system, the approach and the strategies of the organization and to understand the government intervention in relation to poverty in the region and the related structures of decision making and intervention etc.
The II Semester MSW students of 2003-04 batch organized 10 days rural camp at heggadadevana Kote, Mysore Dist, Karnataka from 3rd jan 2004. The II Semester MSW student of 2004-05 batch organized 10 days rural camp at TORAHALLI, Malur Taluk of Kolar district, Karnataka from 10th jan to 19th jan 2005 and they have conducted different social cultural activities and plantation programme ect for villages. The II semester MSW student of 2005-06 batch conducted 10 days rural camp at Yeraballi, Gubbi Tq, Tumkur Dist, Karnataka from 9th jan 2006 to 18th jan 2006. the student were actively involved in spreading awareness about health, hygiene and combating some of the social evils. They were successful in encouraging active participation by the people in the village to undertake some of the community development programmes. The II Semester MSW student of 2006-07 batch conducted 10 days rural camp at Andrahalli, Kolar Dist, Karnataka from 1st March to 10th March 2007. Student were actively involved in pond desilting (as part of Shramadhan) creating awareness about cleanliness and persanalhygiene, doing way with some of the social evils, the need for unity and cooperation through various cultural and awareness programmes. A general medical chick up was also conducted, which proved to be faithful guiding the villagers to the appropriate treatment regime. The students also immensely benefited from the camp in understanding the dynamics of caste politics in rural villages
 
Blood donation camp
The institute organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Regional Blood Transmission Center , Government of Karnataka of on 20 th April 2005 at college premises. Most of the student, teaching & non-teaching staff donated their blood voluntarily and caused for the saving of many struggling lives
 
Community work
The II Semester MSW student organized community work and given awareness of the health and conducted Health chick up camp on 10 th March 2005Thursday at Chikkamunimangal which is one of the remote village in Chintamani Taluk, Kolar District
